THE PROJECT

Purpose and scope

We contributed software skills to a discussion website for an organisation supporting women living with different types of cancer. Our work connected the community website with its supporting data, from requirements analysis and architecture through software implementation. This was a separate project from the women’s iOS support app.

The organisation and its systems are kept anonymous.

Requirements and analysis

We considered what the organisation needed from its website and databases, including how sensitive information should be handled.

Software architecture

We helped structure the application and its data, connecting the website’s needs with the information behind it.

Implementation

We contributed to the website, databases and software implementation, carrying the analysis and architecture into working software.

FUTURE VOLUNTARY WORK

Discuss future voluntary work.

For future voluntary work, TreeNodes welcomes enquiries from verified organisations and businesses supporting women living with cancer or widening access to education. We can help with software architecture, applications, websites and databases.

We consider each request individually, based on available capacity and where our skills can make a useful contribution.
