THE PROJECT

## Purpose and scope

ManUp was developed as a social networking platform for American football fans, for a US-based company. The three-year project began in 2009 and covered business and systems analysis, software architecture and the complete frontend and backend implementation.

**Sector**

Community platform

### Requirements and analysis

We analysed the requirements of a community platform centred on American football. This connected the intended experience for fans with the business and systems requirements that would guide the application’s design and development.

### Software architecture

We designed the architecture for the complete social platform, covering the relationship between its frontend, backend and data. The system model connected members, their activity, conversations and shared interests through the social relationships behind the application.

### Implementation

We built the platform from frontend to backend over the three-year project. We connected member activity, conversations and shared interests through the application’s social relationships, data and interfaces, carrying the analysis and architecture through to hands-on development.

### Ongoing technical support

Technical support continues as part of our work with the system. Knowledge of the original analysis, architecture and implementation provides continuity across the platform beyond its initial development period.
